I've been working full-time at Simon's Cat since September 2015, having worked with the team previously on and off since 2013 - initially as a cleanup animator on 'Christmas Presence 2' and 'Smitten', then as an Animator on the 2015 Indigogo funded colour short 'Off To The Vet', which is currently on the festival circuit, which led to the Youtube animation 'Pizza Cat' and finally joining the team on a more permanent basis with 'Snow Cat'. I've never been happier in a job than I am here at Simon's Cat; creating these short films is such a challenging, fun and rewarding experience, and nothing much could beat coming in to work and drawing cats every day.

'Tough Love' was the most challenging film to animate so far - the film mixes slapstick comedy with very carefully observed cat behaviour. The new character of Maisie was also quite laborious to draw in comparison to most other Simon's Cat characters, being fluffy and also a tabby cat. I also helped on the cleanup of this particular film so I was working on it for a good few months, and subsequently it's now one of my favourite things I've ever animated.

'Snow Cat' was a really enjoyable film to animate. The idea was fairly short and simple with a lot of scope to add humour, and I loved animating the dog. I'm particularly happy with how the snow looks in the final film.

This is the first Simon's Cat film I worked on as lead animator! This video actually reached Number 1 across all of Youtube on its release, which is really exciting. I also worked as an animator on the forthcoming Simon's Cat special 'Off To The Vet', and worked as a cleanup artist on the two previous Simon's Cat films below.
