QUENTIN BLAKE’S ‘CLOWN’, CHANNEL 4 CHRISTMAS DAY

It was a great honour to be a Lead Animator on Channel 4’s Christmas Day highlight “Quentin Blake’s Clown”, produced by Eagle Eye Drama London and Arteprima, Genoa. Although I joined the production a few weeks after animation had started, I handled several scenes towards the end of the film. To bring Quentin Blake’s iconic illustrations to life, animators drew all the frames of their scenes which were then sent to the team in Genoa, Italy to be coloured in a watercolour style. This was a true pleasure to work on, as like many artists from the UK, I grew up loving the work of Quentin Blake, so to be involved in making them move was incredibly exciting for me.
