‘CAMP BESTIVAL’ FIREWORKS AND PROJECTION FINALE 2013

Working with Creative Director Kate Genevieve of Chroma Space, who I’ve collaborated with as an animator on several intallation, projection and mixed media projects, I designed and animated the core character-based sections of the 2013 Camp Bestival Finale Fireworks and Projection show. The central character was a sweet alien girl we named Gertie who is left stranded on Earth and sees many of the beautiful environments on our planet but also clashes against a ‘black hole’ monster representing pollution, who devours everything in their path. As part of the production we worked with individual animators in France, Japan and Malaysia who showed their own intepretations of Gertie visiting their country.
