‘BANNED BETSY’ ANIMATION FOR SHORT FILM

I offered to work on a live action short film being produced by a friend and colleague when I was working at Peppa Pig. He wanted a ‘Mary Poppins’ type segment featuring a 2D animated character interacting with a live action dog and human actors. I really wanted to take inspiration from the 1960/70’s Disney design and movement style, so I made George the dog’s acting quite broad and expressive, which was really fun as it’s a more old-fashioned style of animation that I don’t currently get to do on many jobs.
